IMB Bank Community Foundation’s $10,000 grant funding to ease stress for HBCF’s Local Breast Cancer Patients
Thanks to the support of IMB Bank, HBCF has been able to continue to support breast cancer patients and their families throughout treatment and surgery recovery by providing house cleaning, specifically in the Maitland and Upper Hunter area.
IMB Bank Community Foundation’s $10,000 grant funding has gone directly towards assisting 20 families in the Maitland & Upper Hunter LGA with six, two-hour fortnightly house cleans. This funding also indirectly supports small local cleaning businesses in the area.
Cleaning the house can be difficult at the best of times but when you are going through treatment for breast cancer, it can sometimes become impossible. HBCF’s Cleaning Program provides practical and essential assistance in the home to aid patients in their recovery process as well as delivering a safe, non-toxic environment. It reduces the rate of infection and financial burden on the family whilst providing a greater sense of well-being.
