Belmont HoteL, Warners Bay Sports Club & WARNERS AT THE BAY turned Pink for October

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, local pubs The Belmont Hotel, Warner’s Bay Sports Club & Warners At The Bay went pink to support local families through breast cancer.

There was a series of fun pink initiatives that the punters enjoyed including raffles, pink merchandise at the bar and donations.

Organised by long time supporter Jaqui Brady, the community came together to raise $7893 for breast cancer support services.

“In 2013 wen i required assistance getting to and from my appointments, HBCF was there without hesitation. In our greatest time of need they were there for myself and many others. Supporting HBCF means that other women (and men) will be supported,” Jaqui said.

” I would like to thank Terry Shaw, Licensee and Venue Manager from The Belmont Hotel, who after being approached by myself to do some fundraising, he kindly suggested we decorate the hotel pink for the month of October. “

“The staff and myself alike, have had fun wearing pink merchandise from HBCF as well as selling raffle tickets. Pink is now my favorite colour.”

I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to HBCF for all the wonderful work they do for people in the Hunter community.”
